There just isn't enough time any more.  At least this is the sentiment I have as I consider the to-do list. The self incurred business is at once thrilling and equally debilitating. I need to return to a simpler  form of life, one that makes room for pauses. I have been on an extended hiatus from writing and it is time to turn the page. With a proposal and comps coming up soon, a regular season of writing is a necessity. So very thankful that scripture challenges me to unclutter ( Luke 10 :38-42).  I will now make sure to mimic the pace Mary sets out for her life for indeed it is the most sustainable.

Lexicography

I'm sitting here on the red line thinkin about a lexicographical study in Romans 4:14. Is it true lexicographical studies exist to expose errata in the various lexica that we in NT studies survey?   If so I hope that this term for "null," does not return to me void. Lol. Anyway I have not utilized this venue enough hopefully I can be more consistent with posting random thoughts and ideas about the NT here.

The need to publish

It's no longer an option. Everyday I sense the necessity to write more on the subjects I'm passionate about. These include, racial dialogue, biblical theology, and theological interpretation of the scriptures. Those of you who have found this catharsis please pray that I might be faithful to this task. Preparing for San Fran.

Preparing to make my entry into the world of the Evangelical Theological Society enlivened my senses. I hope that I am able to maintain a better regimen of import into the world of Biblical and theological studies. This Thursday, Nov. 17, I will read my inaugural paper entitled, "An Appraisal of Race: A Theological Account" by Dr. J. Kameron Carter. May God grant me unusual acumen and precision as I attempt to share my gratitude for this text.

It yielded some promising prospects for my Phd work. Those of you who read this blog keep me in prayer as I seach to discover the path that the Lord wants me to take for my education.

E. Dewey Smith

I had the chance to hear E. Dewey Smith the other night and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was his exegesis of the signs of Messiah in John good, his delivery was polished. I remain hopeful about the state of black preaching in our country.

Great Text

So I am prepping for my 1 John lectures and sought Baker Academic for Robert Yarbrough's commentatry. This is the best commentair that I have interacted with in this series. A great buy as well!
